Year 7 Literacy and Numeracy Catch-up Premium

The Department for Education (DfE) provided additional funding for all students in Year 7 from 2012 onwards, who achieved below their age related expectations, level 4, at the end of KS2 in English and Mathematics.

This additional funding is used to provide literacy and numeracy catch-up support for Year 7 students.

For the coming year, (2016/17) we expect to receive £3,500. This sum will make a contribution to the continuing employment of a year 7 tutor to support catch-up pupils in English and Maths. This tutor is additional to the school’s full-time English and Maths qualified teachers.
