Woodpeckers Adventurous Week (17th November 2016)
As a reward for the entire group being in Gold, pupils visited the park. They were accompanied by Kevin the Kindness Canine as Tyler won the Kindness Award and Jake from Year 8 who helped out! Everyone had a brilliant time playing on the swings roundabout and football pitch.
Back in school, Woodpeckers class enjoyed making a traditional Bread and Butter pudding in cooking and tried their hands at making leaf bowls out of air drying clay!
In their DT lessons, they have been creating mini animal-shaped chalkboards. Pupils learnt how to use a coping saw to cut out their shapes safely and used a file to smooth out their shapes. The best mini chalkboard design will be chosen to be made into a life-size chalkboard to be put in the Primary playground.
Well done and good luck!!
